Maia Gurgenidze is a Professor of English Philology at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Her areas of expertise include Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, and Translation Studies. She has been involved in conference committees and international projects. She is a visiting scholar at Meisei University and co-author of Macmillan textbooks. She teaches popular undergraduate courses in language and linguistics.

Elene Papidze joined the British University in Georgia in 2020. She has several years of experience working at state and private institutions. Elene Papidze has worked in recent years as an administrator of international tests (TOEFL, TOEIC, Pearson English International Certificate) in a private organisation working in the field of education, as well as coordinating various educational projects.
Elene Papidze graduated from Ilia State University where she did her MA in Education Administration. She also graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University where she did her BA in English Philology.

Ann Gvritishvili joined the British University in Georgia in 2022. She has more than 6 years of experience in the field of Quality Assurance of Higher Education. She has a wide range of experience working with state, non-governmental and private institutions, both in Georgia and Europe.
Since 2019 Ann Gvritishvili is a member of ESU’s QA Student Experts’ Pool and in 2022 she was elected as a member of the Executive Committee of European Students’ Union. She actively participates in the institutional and program reviews at the international level.

Mariam Shengelia is the Head of the Department of Finances at the British University in Georgia. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the International Black Sea University in 2011 and her Master’s degree in Banking Finance in 2015. Mariam is currently pursuing an MBA at Caucasus University. With over a decade of experience in finance and economics, Mariam is a valuable member of the university’s faculty.

Davit Gvenetadze is an Accountant at the British University in Georgia. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business at Tbilisi State University from 2003 to 2007. Later, he obtained his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Ilia State University between 2011 and 2013. Davit’s educational background and work experience have equipped him with the necessary skills to be an effective accountant at the university.

Ani Demetrashvili is an Assistant for the MA programme in British Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the British University in Georgia.
She graduated from Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, where she obtained her BA in English Philology. Ani then earned her MA degree in Education Administration from Ilia State University.
Ani is currently a doctoral student in Education Sciences at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Education at the International Black Sea University.

Tamar Kekenadze is the Head of the Institute for Research and Policy Development at the British University in Georgia. She obtained a PhD in Economics from Georgian Technical University and has been awarded multiple prestigious fellowships and has completed leadership programmes, including the Stanford Leadership Academy for Development and the European Women’s Academy of Political Leadership and Campaigning. Tamar’s educational background also includes an MA in Computer Engineering and a BA in Computer Systems and Networks from Georgian Technical University. She has completed courses in managing defence, wider security contexts, and generals, ambassadors, and flag officers from renowned institutions such as the NATO Defense Colleague, the Defence Academy in the UK, and John Hopkins University in the US.
