The Foundation in Business and Management is intended to provide students with a foundation in both knowledge and academic skills.

This includes the necessary level of intellectual, practical and English Language skills to enable them to enter a degree programme and prepare them for more specialist subjects.

 

Applicants for this course are expected to have completed 12 years of schooling and to have achieved an IELTS score of 5.5.

  • The main aims of the programme are to:

     

    • Enhance students’ self-development, general, English language, study and interpersonal skills necessary for studying for a degree;
    • Develop in students the ability to construct logical arguments and to communicate arguments clearly;
    • Help students acquire and practice strategies for effective reading, academic vocabulary development and academic research skills to discover and continue learning in accordance with ethical principles;
    • Encourage students to become independent and responsible learners, interacting with a wide array of learning resources and exhibiting critical analysis and evaluation in integrating theory and practice and exploring possible solutions;
    • Develop introductory knowledge of academic subjects related to future course of study.

Political Science Foundation Programme prepares international students for undergraduate programmes at foreign universities. Political Science Foundation Programme is a bridge between school study and study at foreign universities. The programme gives you an insight into some of the subjects on offer at the degree level.

Upon the graduation from the programme, student will:

Knowledge and Understanding 

  • Demonstrate a knowledge of the external environment within which organizations operate, including the political, social, economic and technological contexts at both national and international levels;
  • Demonstrate understanding of the basic principles, concepts and models of economics at both macro and micro levels and its influence on organizations.
  • Understand the role of financial information for effective management of an organisation;

  • Use English Language effectively for academic study;
  • Demonstrate the use of sources of information and proper referencing;
  • Constantly work on self-evaluation and self-development;

Practical Skills 

  • Communicate through the use of effective means of communication, including the latest and relevant information technologies;
  • Conduct one’s work in accordance with ethical principles

Successfully completing our foundation programme will allow you to progress to an undergraduate degree at foreign universities.
