The Department of Quality Assurance of the British University in Georgia held online meetings with the administrative personnel daily from the 12th to the 25th of May.
During the meetings, the participants discussed strategies for improving the identified issues in the self-assessment report of the British Teaching University of Georgia.
The process of self-assessment of the British University in Georgia has been held on from July 2019 to February 2020.
The newly established university team successfully led the self-assessment process, which was conducted with high involvement of the university staff, and in April 2020 submitted a self-assessment report to the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement.
On 25th May 2020, the British University in Georgia was given the status of authorisation seeker.
The results of the external evaluation are significant for the youthful university team and it is a great responsibility for them to represent the university with dignity to the authorisation experts. Therefore, the meetings with the administrative staff focused on the issues identified in the self-assessment report. The structural units presented their views on their improvement within their competencies.
At the meetings, the administrative staff agreed to ensure the development of action plans for their structural units, which will be in line with the three-year action plan of the university and will provide more details of the activities defined in it.
