Student Project Grant Competition at the British University in Georgia

The British University in Georgia (BUG) is committed to nurturing future leaders and transforming society by adapting the British academic model to Georgia’s academic environment. To further this mission, we are delighted to announce the Student Project Grant Competition, designed to empower our students by encouraging the development of innovative ideas and projects aligned with the competition’s objectives.

The Student Project Grant Competition aims to support projects that focus on:

  • Active citizenship and civic participation;
  • Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration aspirations;
  • Environmental protection and urban development;
  • Business skill development.

This competition is open exclusively to BUG students. Students may apply individually or as a group.

Winning projects that align with the competition’s objectives will receive a grant of up to 1,500 GEL.

How to Apply: Submit your completed application form electronically to tamar.kekenadze@britishuni.edu.ge. Use “BUG Grant Competition” as the subject line of your email.

Important Dates:

  • Application Deadline: 31st of January 2024
  • Project Presentations: 8th and 9th of February 2024

Projects will be assessed based on content, time management, format, language, risk analysis, creativity, innovation, budget and cost estimation, monitoring, reporting, activity planning, sequencing, and presentation quality.

An information session will be held on 26th of December , 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Jane Austen Room, BUG Campus. Attend the session to learn more about the competition and the application process.
