On January 18, 2021, the British University in Georgia team held an online meeting with Chris Maskell, who is an assistant to the Collaborations Manager at the University of Buckingham. The two parties discussed the possible platforms for academic exchange targeting students and staff. Mr. Maskell presented a new government-backed £100 million Turing Scheme that will replace UK participation in the Erasmus programme. The University of Buckingham will apply for funds in 2021 and facilitate staff and student trips to and from partner universities, including the British University in Georgia, starting this year.
